The block of safety locks and the relay is located in back part of a compartment of the engine on the right or left side of the water taking away casing (depending on model). For replacement of safety locks it is necessary to uncover the block, having unfastened clips. The arrangement of safety locks, chains protected by them, and also rated current of a safety lock are specified on block cover inside.
Plastic cases of safety locks have various color corresponding to rated current.
The part of the relay is located in the block of safety locks, and another – in the separate additional block of the relay in salon on the left side under the dashboard. For check of serviceability of the relay it is necessary to switch on and off the relevant system several times. If thus characteristic clicks are not audible, the relay means is faulty and is subject to replacement. The replaced relay is pulled out simply from a nest.
