12.2.1.1. Removal and installation of the distributor of ignition

GENERAL INFORMATION

8 – spring of fastening of a cover of the distributor;

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To disconnect a wire from the "minus" plug of the battery.
2. To disconnect high-voltage wires from a distributor cover.
3. To disconnect a vacuum hose from the vacuum proofreader.
4. To disconnect a sensor socket block.
5. To establish a cranked shaft in situation v.m.t. the piston of the 1st cylinder, corresponding to a compression step (see subsection 3.2.2.1).
6. To turn off a bolt of fastening of the holder and to remove the holder.
7. To take out up the distributor of ignition and to remove laying.
8. To install the ignition distributor upside-down. Before installation to replace laying. After installation of the distributor to adjust ignition.
9. If the distributor was removed and before it you did not note and did not remember its situation (the cranked shaft, etc. was turned), it is possible to arrive as follows. To establish a cranked shaft in situation v.m.t. piston of the 1st cylinder of a step of compression.
10. To uncover the distributor, to turn the runner so that the center of contact of the runner was combined with a tag on the distributor case.
11. To insert the distributor into an opening in the block (head) of cylinders, slightly to turn clockwise. When the driving gear wheel of the distributor enters gearing, the distributor will sit down on a place and the runner will again be leveled with a tag. To wrap and tighten bolts of fastening of the distributor.
