GENERAL INFORMATION

Elements of electronic system of ignition

1 – sensor of frequency of rotation cranked
shaft;
2 – ignition advancing corner sensor;

Check of resistance of a secondary winding of the coil of ignition of the first type

1 – ignition coil;

2 – 1 plug;

3 – high-voltage plug;

4 – 15 plug

The ignition coil installed on the car can be two types.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To disconnect high-voltage and low-voltage wires from the ignition coil.
2. To connect an ohmmeter and to measure resistance of a secondary winding. It has to be for the coil of the first type of 6,8 kOhm, for the coil of the second type – 7,7 kOhm.
3. To connect an ohmmeter to plugs 2 and 4 or 2 and 3 and to measure resistance of primary winding. It has to be 0,5–1,5 Ohms for both types of coils.
4. If resistance of secondary and primary windings differs from specified, the coil needs to be replaced.
