Contactless system of ignition of the RT engine of release since 1989

Contactless system of ignition of the engine MC with one sensor of a detonation

On models of later release the contactless system of ignition of FEI is installed. This system is similar to the electronic system of ignition described above.

It is necessary to consider that on MS engines of later releases two sensors of a detonation are installed. The FEI system has "memory" which contains information on possible malfunctions of system of ignition. This information can be "read" by means of the special equipment for diagnosing.

During the work with FEI system it is necessary to carry out the following security measures:

– it is forbidden to touch conducting, to separate and connect it, to connect to conducting of system of ignition any equipment (including for diagnosing) at the working engine;
– if it is necessary to turn the engine a starter, to disconnect a block from the ignition switchboard;
– to scroll a starter by means of the charger it is allowed no more than 15 with at a voltage not over 16,5 V;
– it is allowed to wash the engine only at the switched-off ignition;
– when performing welding works on the car the battery has to be switched completely-off;
– before towage of the car it is necessary to disconnect a block from the ignition switchboard;
– it is forbidden to change the ignition distributor runner for the runner of other type. The corner of an advancing of ignition is set by the ignition control unit, however it can be checked and adjusted as was described earlier (see subsection 12.2.1.3), thus it is necessary to disconnect a vacuum hose from the control unit of ignition.
