1.14. On-board computer

GENERAL INFORMATION

Command keys the on-board computer on release models since January, 1988

1 – function choice key;

2 – key of zeroing of data;

3 – screen wiper switch lever

The display of the on-board computer on release models since January, 1988

1 – function indicator;

2 – display;

3 – tachometer;

4 – index of function

The on-board computer is built in a combination of devices. It has two command keys which are taken out on release models till January, 1988 in the central part of the dashboard (see poses. 33 on rice. The dashboard of models of release till January, 1988), and on release models since January, 1988 – on the screen wiper switch lever (see poses. 28 on rice. The dashboard of models of release since January, 1988).

For switching of functions to press the top or lower part of a key 1 (see rice. Command keys the on-board computer on release models since January, 1988). Thus the indicator 1 (see rice. The display of the on-board computer on release models since January, 1988) shows the chosen function. By each pressing of a key the function following one after another joins. When pressing a key of 2 Reset (see rice. Command keys zeroing of data of the chosen function in "memory" of the computer happens the on-board computer on release models since January, 1988) more than 2 with.

Functions of the on-board computer

Fuel consumption (the computer with this function establish on cars without turbo-supercharging). Shows fuel consumption in l / 100 to km at present. The computer counts fuel consumption through each 30 m of a way. After a stop of the car the last value kept in "memory" is highlighted. Reliable information on fuel consumption the computer starts showing after passing by the car 40 m of a way. When pressing an accelerator pedal on the motionless car with the working engine the computer also shows unreliable information (the increased fuel consumption) due to the lack of data on the passable way.

Air pressurization pressure (the computer with this function establish on cars with the MS model engine instead of fuel consumption function)

Shows the pressurization pressure developed by a turbocompressor in the range from 0 to 2 bars.

Course stock on the fuel which remained in a tank

Shows distance in kilometers which the car can pass on the remained fuel at constant style of driving. This size pays proceeding from fuel consumption for the last 30 km of a way. At settlement run less than 50 km (a fuel reserve in a tank) the computer automatically switches to this function with any other. Thus the figure on the display starts blinking. After in a tank there are less than 5-8 l of fuel, instead of the size of a stock of the course the L indicator (an empty tank) lights up. To disconnect the warning signal, it is necessary to press the Reset key. If in a tank there was a reserve reserve of fuel, at each inclusion of ignition the warning signal will be automatically highlighted.

Amount of the spent fuel

Shows the amount of fuel spent from the moment of start of the engine in liters. After ignition switching off the last value remains in memory of the computer. At repeated inclusion of ignition after the car passed 30 m, old value is erased from "memory" and calculation of fuel consumption anew is made. Value can be nullified by pressing of the Reset key during 2 pages.

Movement time

Shows the car time spent in the movement from the moment of the last zeroing of data. At the switched-off ignition value remains in "memory" of the computer and at the further movement this value is summarized with movement time after a stop. Value can be nullified by pressing the Reset key during 2 pages. After the movement during 2 h (with stops less than 10 min.) the computer automatically switches to this function with any other. Thus the figure on the display starts blinking (it is recommended to stop for rest). At a stop less than 10 min. with not switched off ignition the warning signal joins again in 2 h (time of a stop is considered as movement time). At a stop more than 10 min. with the switched-off ignition the signal joins in 2 h after a start of motion. To disconnect the warning signal, it is necessary to press the Reset key.

Average fuel consumption

Shows average fuel consumption from the moment of the last zeroing of data. At the switched-off ignition value remains in "memory" of the computer. Value can be nullified by pressing the Reset key during 2 pages. Before the car passed the first 30 m, the computer shows zero. After 24 h the computer begins new counting.

Average speed of the movement

Shows the average speed of the movement from the moment of the last zeroing of data. At the switched-off ignition value remains in "memory" of the computer and at the further movement this value is considered as the average speed of the movement after a stop. Value can be nullified by pressing the Reset key during 2 pages.
