6.3.5. Check and adjustment of frequency of rotation of idling

GENERAL INFORMATION

The diesel engine has no system of ignition therefore the special tachometer which is connected to the generator plug W is necessary for check.

Generator plug W

Frequency of rotation can be measured and by means of a sampler of ignition of VAG 1367, using the sensor v.m.t. on the leading pulley.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To warm up the engine. Temperature of oil has to be not below +60 °C.
2. To connect a control tachometer according to the instruction of manufacturer.
3. To switch off everything consumers of the electric power (light, the radio tape recorder, etc.).
4. To check idling rotation frequency on a tachometer. For engines of the CN and DE models it has to be (750±50) min.-1. If it is necessary, adjust the frequency of rotation of idling by turn of the adjusting screw (1), having weakened previously an inhaling of a lock-nut (2).
5. For engines of the NC and 3D models the frequency of rotation of idling has to be (830±30) min.-1 and (840±30) min.-1 according to. In case of need adjust the frequency of rotation of idling by the adjusting screw (2), having weakened previously an inhaling of a lock-nut (1).
