6.3.7. Replacement of nozzles

GENERAL INFORMATION

Damage of nozzles can cause strong knock in the engine. In this case to leave the engine to idle and serially to turn off nuts of fastening of fuel-supply lines to nozzles. If at an otvorachivaniye of the next nut knock stops, means this nozzle is faulty. At service stations of a nozzle it is possible to check by means of the manometer. Main signs of damage of nozzles: interruptions in operation of the engine, knock in one or several cylinders, an engine overheat, falling of engine capacity, a black smoke from an exhaust pipe, high fuel consumption.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To wash out fuel-supply lines the washing structure with cold water.
2. To turn off nuts of fastening of fuel-supply lines and to remove fuel-supply lines. Thus it is impossible to bend fuel-supply lines or to change their form.
3. To turn out nozzles.
4. To replace sealing washers between nozzles and a head of the block of cylinders. To establish washers, as shown in drawing (the arrow is directed to a head of cylinders).
5. To wrap new nozzles and to tighten the moment 70 N · m (7,0 kgfs · м).
6. To establish toplivoprivoda, to tighten fastening nuts the moment of 25 N · m (2,5 kgfs · м).
