GENERAL INFORMATION

The coil of ignition fails very seldom. Check the coil an ohmmeter, measuring resistance of primary and secondary windings.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To disconnect a wire from the "minus" plug of the battery.
2. To disconnect wires from the coil.
3. To examine the coil. If on the coil there are cracks or a cap in the top part of the coil is pushed out, it needs to be replaced.
4. For check of resistance of primary winding to connect an ohmmeter to plugs 6 and 4 (see rice. Elements of transistor system of ignition). Resistance has to be 0,5–0,8 Ohms.
5. For check of resistance of a secondary winding to connect an ohmmeter to plugs 4 and 5 (see rice. Elements of transistor system of ignition). Resistance has to be 2,4–3,5 kOhm.
