12.1.5.19. Check of the sensor of the index of temperature of cooling liquid

GENERAL INFORMATION

If at an engine overheat in models with petrol engines (the arrow of the index of temperature of cooling liquid is in a red zone) the lamp of an overheat of cooling liquid does not light up, it is necessary to check the sensor of the index of temperature of cooling liquid.

If at an engine overheat in models with diesel engines of the shooter of the index of temperature of cooling liquid does not leave to the right, it is necessary to check the sensor of the index of temperature of cooling liquid.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To disconnect a block with wires from the sensor of temperature of cooling liquid.
Models with petrol engines
2. To close a yellow-blue wire on "weight" by means of an additional wire and to include ignition. If the control lamp of temperature of cooling liquid on a combination of devices lights up, the sensor is faulty and it should be replaced.
3. If the lamp did not light up, to check it. For this purpose it is necessary to remove a combination of devices (see subsection 12.1.5.15).
4. If the lamp did not fuse, to check an electric chain. For this purpose to disconnect a wire from the "minus" plug of the battery. Then to disconnect a 12-contact block (1) from a combination of devices (2) and to check chain resistance by means of an ohmmeter, having connected it to contact of "2" blocks 1 and yellow blue to the wire connected to the sensor. Resistance has to be equal to zero. If it is equal to infinity, in a chain there is a break.
Models with diesel engines
5. To close a yellow-blue wire on "weight" by means of an additional wire and to include ignition. If the arrow of the index of temperature of cooling liquid on a combination of devices deviates to the right, the sensor is faulty and it should be replaced.
6. If the arrow did not deviate to the right, it is necessary to check an electric chain. For this purpose to disconnect a wire from the "minus" plug of the battery. Then to disconnect a 12-contact block from a combination of devices and to check chain resistance by means of an ohmmeter, having connected it to contact of "2" blocks and yellow blue the wire connected to the sensor. Resistance has to be equal to zero if it is equal to infinity, in a chain there is a break.
7. If break in a chain is not present, means the index of level of fuel is faulty and it needs to be replaced.
