Height of raising of a plate depends on amount of the air given to engine cylinders: the more the air stream, the above rises a plate. Thus the lever of a plate presses a fuel distributor plunger that leads to increase in amount of the fuel given to cylinders. When the stream of air decreases, the plate falls, the plate lever in turn lowers a plunger and supply of fuel decreases. With a frequency of rotation of the engine no more than 1400 min.-1, temperature of cooling liquid is not above 30 has some and to the butterfly valve which is in the provision of idling the valve turns on and air goes on a perepuskny hose, passing the air consumption measuring instrument. The plate falls, releasing a plunger, and supply of fuel is disconnected until the valve is closed. For the best smesoobrazovaniye the plate has to settle down precisely in the center of the diffuser.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To weaken an inhaling of collars and to remove an air duct (see rice. Basic elements of system of injection of fuel).
2. If the plate (1) is displaced, to weaken an inhaling of the screw (2). To center a plate by means of the probe 0,1 mm thick, inserting it round a plate. To tighten the screw.
3. To lift and quickly to lower a plate. At the movement it should not be felt resistance down. If resistance is felt, the measuring instrument of a consumption of air means is faulty and demands replacement.
4. If resistance is felt at the movement of a plate up, it is necessary to remove the fuel distributor, to take out and wash out a plunger in gasoline. If it does not help, to replace the fuel distributor.
5. To check a plate arrangement on height in relation to the diffuser. The gap between the upper edge of a plate and edge of cylindrical part of the diffuser (noted by shooters) has to be: at engines with K-Jetronic system of 0-0,5 mm, at engines of the KZ models of 1,75-2,05 mm, at engines with K-Jetronic system of a high pressure and KE-Jetronic (at these engines fuel is brought to nozzles on metal tubes) 1,9–3,0 mm. For adjustment of provision of a plate on height at engines with K-Jetronic and KZ system to remove an air duct (see rice. Basic elements of system of injection of fuel) to lift a plate and to unbend or squeeze the wire bracket located under it as shown in drawing at the left. At other engines to uncover the filter with the filtering element and to adjust the provision of a plate turn of a nut on the persistent screw of a plate, as shown in drawing on the right.
