GENERAL INFORMATION

Steering column with system of passive safety of "PROKON-TEN"
1 – shaft of a driving gear wheel of the mechanism of a steering;
2 – arm;

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To disconnect a wire from the "minus" plug of the battery.
2. To remove a steering wheel (see subsection 9.2).
3. To weaken fastening of understeering switches through the opening located from below in a casing of understeering switches. To remove understeering switches from a pipe of a steering column, having disconnected blocks with wires.
4. To turn out screws of fastening and to remove the lower shelf from the driver.
5. To remove a combination of devices (see subsection 12.1.5.15).
6. To remove vozdukhoduv for an obduv of feet of the driver.
7. To disconnect a cable from a shaft of a steering column.
8. Through an opening in the panel of a combination of devices to turn off a bolt of fastening of the case of the switch (lock) of ignition with an internal hexagon.
9. To turn off a bolt of fastening of a collar, having disconnected a shaft of a steering column from a shaft of a driving gear wheel of the mechanism of a steering. On models with a steering column without hydraulic booster previously to shift the protection cover.
10. To turn off two nuts and to take out two bolts of fastening of a steering column to an arm.
11. To lower a little steering column and to remove the ignition switch case, having disconnected from it blocks with wires.
12. To take out a steering column through an opening in the dashboard.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To establish a steering column upside-down.
2. Before connection of a shaft of a steering column with shaft of a driving gear wheel of the mechanism of a steering to insert a key into the ignition switch and to switch-off the anti-theft device.
3. To tighten a bolt of fastening of a collar the moment of 25 N · m (2,5 kgfs · l), and two bolts of fastening of a steering column – the moment of 35 N · m (3,5 kgfs · м).
4. Before installation of a steering wheel to establish a spring with adjusting washers if they were removed at dismantle.
