3.1.2.14. Removal, check and installation of the oil pump

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To remove an oil case (see subitem 1-5 of subsection 3.1.2.13).
2. To turn off bolts of fastening and to remove the oil pump with an oil receiver.
3. To turn off two bolts and to uncover the pump.
4. To take out a shaft of the drive and the leading gear wheel of the pump.
5. To remove an oil receiver and to take out the mesh filter.
6. To wash out all details of the pump in gasoline.
7. To check a gap between teeths of gear wheels, as shown in drawing at the left. The nominal gap is equal 0,05 mm, maximum permissible – 0,2 mm. To check a gap between a gear wheel and a pump housing, it has to be equal 0,15 mm. To check an axial gap of gear wheels, as shown in drawing on the right. It has to be no more than 0,15 mm.
8. After replacement of defective details to oil all details of the pump the engine.
9. To collect and install the pump upside-down.
