3.1.2.10. Removal and installation of an intermediate shaft

GENERAL INFORMATION

Cranked shaft and block of cylinders

1 – top persistent half ring;
2 – epiploon of an intermediate shaft;
3 – epiploon flange;
4 – intermediate shaft;
5 – epiploon of a cranked shaft;
6 – holder of an epiploon;
7 – laying;
8 – lower insert of the radical bearing;
9 – bolt of fastening of a cover of the radical bearing;
10 – cover of the radical bearing;
11 – lower persistent half ring;
12 – cranked shaft;
13 – top insert of the radical bearing

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To remove the ignition distributor (cm. subitem 1-7 of subsection 12.2.1.1) and fuel pump (cm. subitem 1-3 of subsection 6.1.5).
2. To take off a camshaft drive belt (see subitem 1-7 of subsection 3.1.2.9).
3. To turn off a bolt of fastening and to remove a cogwheel of an intermediate shaft. To take out a spline.
4. To turn off two bolts of a flange 3 epiploons of an intermediate shaft (see rice. A cranked shaft and the block of cylinders) and to remove a flange with a sealing ring.
5. To take out an epiploon 2 of a flange 3.
6. Accurately to take out an intermediate shaft 4 of the block of cylinders.
7. To establish an intermediate shaft upside-down. Thus to press a new epiploon in a flange and to oil a working edge of an epiploon the engine. The axial side play of a shaft should not exceed 0,25 mm.
